FIREFIGHTERS TACKLE BLAZE ON ANDREWS LANE

The Crossville Chronicle reports a house fire taking place on Thursday at 356 Andrews Lane in Cumberland County was reported at 6:27 p.m. The Cumberland County Fire Department arrived at 6:38 p.m. to find the 1,600-square-foot home fully engulfed. The structure was a total loss, but no injuries were reported.
Firefighters protected nearby structures, using 3,500 gallons of water. Five fire units and 11 firefighters were on scene for nearly four hours, clearing at 10:15 p.m. The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fire’s origin and cause.
