FIRST LADY MELANIA TRUMP TO VISIT VANDERBILT CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL
First lady Melania Trump will be in Nashville today to visit Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. Her visit is part of her Be Best campaign, an initiative focusing on the major issues children face today.
At the hospital, the first lady will participate in a roundtable discussion about neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS), a disease in newborn infants whose mothers take drugs like heroin, codeine, oxycodone, methadone or buprenorphine while pregnant.
She will also tour Vanderbilt’s neonatal intensive care unit and meet with patients.
