Roane County deputies responded to 2369 Kingston Highway last night where a person allegedly was shooting a gun towards a neighbor. Sheriff Jack Stockton identified the suspect as 56-year-old Robert Hershal Fitzgerald who was taken into custody about an hour after authorities arrived on scene. An ambulance was staged at Kingston Elementary School standing by in case they were needed. Sheriff Stockton thanks Kingston Police for the assistance and states he was proud of his officers for getting the situation under control without injury. Fitzgerald was charged with reckless endangerment involving a weapon. No one was hurt in the incident.
