Floyd “Dell” Jenkins, age 64, of Resaca, Georgia, originally from Crossville, Tennessee, passed away April 1, 2021.  Dell was born on February 23, 1957 in Crossville to Floyd and Willie Jenkins.  After losing his mother at a very young age, Dell moved to Detroit, OR and attended Detroit High School where he met his wife of 47 years.  Dell was the proud owner/operator of Dell Jenkins Trucking, LLC with over 4 million miles in the trucking industry during his long career.  He was happiest camping/fishing with his grandkids, working in his yard, and spending time with his family, his many friends and driving his truck.  Dell was preceded in death by both his parents; and brothers: Jim, Claude and Ron.

Dell is survived by his loving wife; Aprel; sons: Michael and Phillip (Christina); grandkids: Austin and Victoria; sisters: Ruth Ritchie (Chuck) and June Claggett; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from coast to coast.

A service to celebrate Dell’s life will be held Monday, April 5, 2021 at 2 p.m. eastern from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home in Calhoun, Georgia. The family will receive friends prior to the service from noon until 2 p.m. eastern at the funeral home.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday April 6, 2021 at 1 p.m. central at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Grimsley, Tennessee.
