FORMER BRADLEY COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR PLEADS GUILTY TO SOLICITATION OF A MINOR

The former director of the Bradley County Emergency Management Agency has pleaded guilty to solicitation of a minor following a statewide law enforcement operation.

Jeffrey Adair Young, 65, was arrested last summer as part of a human trafficking sting conducted by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI). Authorities reported that Young traveled to Lookout Mountain believing he was meeting a 15-year-old boy for a sexual encounter.

Officials noted that Young had been terminated from his position at the Bradley County Emergency Management Agency prior to his arrest for reasons unrelated to the investigation.

Following his guilty plea, Young received a suspended sentence in the case.
