One of Cumberland County High School’s greatest football coaches has passed away. Luther Asia “L.A.” Fox, Sr. died at the age of 92 over the weekend. Fox graduated from Cumberland County High School in 1947 and was inducted into the CCHS Hall of Fame in 1998. He was a successful head football coach for the Jets coaching players including Curt “The Crossville Comet” Watson who went on to play in the NFL. Funeral services for Fox will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 1 p.m. central time. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
