A former Marine who is on trial in California for the murder of an Oak Ridge woman has admitted to strangling the victim and pushing her body down an abandoned mine shaft in the desert. Christopher Lee took the stand earlier this week in the murder trial of 19-year-old Erin Corwin who was his neighbor and who was married to another Marine. At the time of the incident in June 2014, Corwin was reportedly pregnant with Lee’s child. He told everyone in the courtroom that he “was no longer scared and that the truth needed to come out.” Lee said that he was filled with anger and hate when he decided to kill Corwin. He testified that Corwin had molested a family member in the past.
