FORMER MORGAN CO. PRISON INMATE CONVICTED OF AGGRAVATED ASSAULT ON CORRECTIONS OFFICER

Former Morgan County Correctional Complex prison inmate 27-year-old Jovan Crawford was convicted in court yesterday of aggravated assault. It stemmed from the attack of Corrections Officer Joe Eads during a September 12, 2019 incident while Crawford was an inmate. Morgan County Criminal Court Judge Jeff Wicks will sentence Crawford September 27, 2021.

Crawford is currently being housed at Riverbend Maximum Security Prison for two attempted second-degree murder charges for which sentence he is otherwise eligible for release in 2027.
