A former inmate of the Morgan County Jail has filed a $10 million lawsuit alleging Morgan County Sheriff Glen Freytag and other named defendants violated his civil rights by ignoring his need for medical attention during his incarceration earlier this year. The Morgan County news is reporting that the defendant, James Travis Adkins, claims in documents filed Aug. 25 in the U.S. District Court in Knoxville that the negligence and delay of medical care led to his apparently permanent status as a paraplegic.
