FORMER TREASURER OF CLARKSVILLE CHURCH STEALS NEARLY $500,000
A Grand Jury has indicted a Clarksville woman for stealing approximately a half-million dollars from a church where she was the treasurer. The TBI began an investigation on Connie Parker in Aug. 2016. Through the course of the case, agents found that Parker stole around $498,000 while she was working in the office of the First Presbyterian Church in Clarksville for the past six years. Agents also revealed the fact that Parker manipulated accounting reports presented to the church’s board of directors in order to hide the crime. She was arrested Tuesday.
