Forte’s On the Square, a longtime fine dining staple in Crossville, Tennessee, located on Fourth Street, is closing its doors.

Jason Knight, who purchased the restaurant from the original Forte family in late 2024, announced the decision after careful consideration, stating it was the right choice for the current circumstances. He expressed deep gratitude to customers, staff, and the community for their support throughout the journey.

However, Ronnie Webb, the owner of the building, posted a more optimistic update the same morning, announcing that the Fortes are planning to return. He noted that they will need to complete all necessary inspections, permits, and other requirements before reopening, and asked for the community’s patience and continued support during this transition period.
