FOUR CHILDREN, ONE ADULT INJURED IN TWO VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON I-40 IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
A two vehicle accident on I-40 in Cumberland County Sunday resulted in injuries to four children and an adult. Trooper Nicholas Neal said in his report released today a 2015 Jeep Cherokee driven by 43-year-old Latesia Appleton of Nashville and a 2007 Chevy Impala operated by 27-year-old Quarnesha Murdock of Nashville collided at the 321 mile marker after Appleton stopped for heavy traffic at a construction zone. Murdock and a 5 and 7 year old in her car sustained injuries. Two children, ages 5 and 6, were hurt in Appleton’s vehicle. Both drivers were charged with violation of the child restraint law.
