Four Upper Cumberland Walmarts will be stocking the newly-approved oral treatments for COVID-19.

The Tennessee Department of Health announced shipments of the new Merck and Pfizer treatments will be shipped in very limited numbers. the pills are mainly for Early studies indicate these treatment options may reduce severe outcomes from COVID-19 including hospitalization or death. These treatments are recommended for individuals who are at high risk for progression to severe COVID-19 or have underlying medical conditions.

You can find these treatments at the Algood, McMinnville, Crossville, and Jamestown Supercenters.  The drugs are free – but you do need a prescription.
