FOX AND MAYBERRY SWORN IN TO CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL

Dr. Mark Fox and Former Crossville Mayor James Mayberry were sworn into seats on the Crossville City Council yesterday evening.
After the two were sworn in by Judge Tiffany Adams, Mayor RJ Crawford gave words to the audience and the public.
“It’s official now, the way that our charter works, the council members that are no longer serving have rolled out and we officially welcome both Mark and James onto their new city council seats. You can see, their names are already listed, so we’re ready for you all to put in some work. The first work session starts tomorrow night.”
Mayberry said coming back to city hall felt ‘homely’.
“First off, I want to thank you all for bringing me back to the city offices here, it’s kind of homely,” Mayberry said. “All the employees that I’ve worked with for about eight years in the past. I’d like to keep things moving in a positive direction and do what’s best for the citizens and the city of Crossville. I’m thankful to be back in this position. I vow to be a good steward of the taxpayer’s money to the best of my ability.”
Fox thanked his supporters and voters and echoed Mayberry’s desire to be a steward for the city.
“I’m so thankful for this opportunity to serve our town, our city,” Fox said. “All the well wishes I’ve received, all the prayers, the support, and the votes. I’m going to work for everyone. Whether I was someone that was voted for or not by you, I promise to work diligently for you. And like James, I pledge to be a great steward of your resources and the trust that you placed in me. I’m open to everyone’s opinion, these seasons are tough sometimes, you can never please everyone. But I promise you I will always work for what is best for our city.”
