FREEZE WARNING ISSUED FOR ENTIRE LISTENING AREA
The National Weather Service has issued a FREEZE WARNING from 11 p.m. tonight (October 31, 2019) to 9 a.m. central time tomorrow morning for the entire listening area. The high temperatures for today will be experienced this morning and once the front passes, temperatures will fall to the 40’s by around 4 p.m. Sub-freezing temperatures on the plateau and valley is expected tonight as low as 27 degrees. Wind gusting up to 20 miles per hour at times will make it feel like in the teens. These conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. Fire officials are urging caution when homeowners use space heaters tonight.
