FREEZE WATCH ISSUED FOR PARTS OF LISTENING AREA
The National Weather Service has issued a FREEZE WATCH from 12:01 a.m. Friday, November 1, 2019 to 9 a.m. central time Friday, November 1, 2019.
The watch includes CUMBERLAND, FENTRESS, WHITE, PUTNAM, PICKETT, and OVERTON counties.
Sub-freezing temperatures on the plateau is expected as low as 27 to 29 degrees. Wind gusting up to 20 miles per hour at times will make it feel like in the teens. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
