FUGITIVE WANTED IN LAS VEGAS FOR ROBBERY TAKEN INTO CUSTODY IN CROSSVILLE
A routine traffic stop by Crossville police Monday turned into an arrest of a fugitive. The report states a check of a passenger in the vehicle, 23-year-old Tony W. Starkes of Crossville, revealed he not only had a local theft warrant but a full extradition one from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department for robbery. Starkes was taken into custody without incident and taken to jail.
This was not the first encounter with Starkes and Crossville police.
In June of this year, law enforcement responded to a residence on Brenda Lane for a fugitive present. Officers encountered Starkes who was wanted in Putnam County on charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.
