Gary Howard with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department was transported to a hospital yesterday with COVID-19. Sgt. Howard was diagnosed with it in late October but pneumonia set it from complications from the coronavirus. Sgt. Howard currently serves as the Community Services Director and Public Information Officer for the sheriff’s office. He is also well known as a former School Resource Officer for Homestead Elementary School. Howard also serves as a minister for Old Fashioned Independent Baptist Church in Crossville.

Prayers are requested for his recovery, as well as others battling COVID-19.
