Gary Lynn Hicks, age 68, of Rockwood, passed away December 10, 2019. He is survived by fiancé: Judy Gunter-McElroy of Rockwood; son: Josh Hicks of Florida; daughter: Rachel Hicks of Kingston; grandchildren: Jaxon Lively & Victoria Hicks; brothers: Jim Hicks of Newport News, Virginia and John Hicks of Bloomfield, New Mexico; sisters: Wanda Jean Rowe of Newport News, Virginia, Peggy Martin of Clinton, Tennessee, Billie Finley of Hertford, North Carolina, and Linda Reynolds of Kingston, Tennessee; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members. The family will receive friends Monday, December 16, 2019 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the chapel of Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. A memorial service will follow with full military honors to be presented by the Roane County Military Memorial Honor Guard and the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
