GIBSON ARRESTED FOR DUI AFTER TRAFFIC STOP ON I-40

Cumberland County law enforcement responded to a reckless driver on Plateau Road Tuesday morning approaching the interstate. Officers intercepted the driver, 29-year-old Kirstie F. Gibson of Knoxville, at the 315 mile marker after she nearly wrecked her vehicle. Gibson pulled over and a check revealed her license was revoked from a DUI conviction. A pill bottle was reportedly found containing meth. She was charged with DUI, manufacture and delivery of a drug and simple possession. Deputies say a passenger, 28-year-old Wyatt Stone Gibson, was wanted in Roane and Knox counties. Both were taken to jail.
