A Roane County grand jury indicted 55-year-old Donald E. Goldberg of Harriman on 27 counts including theft and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Court documents state one of the offenses involved the taking of a trailer belonging to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Goldberg will be arraigned soon in criminal court.

Goldberg made headlines back in 2009 after he shot 26-year-old Steven Dishman at a home on Casey Road. Dishman sustained a fatal single shotgun blast to his chest. Goldberg called authorities to report the shooting and told investigators the act was in self-defense. Goldberg was not charged.
