GRAND JURY INDICTS HOWARD FOR AGGRAVATED ANIMAL CRUELTY IN CUMBERLAND CO.

A Crossville woman was indicted by a grand jury in Cumberland County yesterday for aggravated animal cruelty. Court officials say 24-year-old Jordyn Shea Howard with no justifiable purpose caused serious physical injury to a dog at a Prentice Street home. The dog was rescued by A Time 4 Paws volunteer. The canine was taken to a veterinarian and later euthanized because of its poor health after being very malnourished. Howard is scheduled to be arraigned March 23, 2020 in Cumberland County Criminal Court.
