The Great Smoky Mountains synchronous firefly lottery will open on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 9 a.m. Central time and close on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 10:59 p.m.

Anyone wishing to enter can do so by going to www.recreation.gov.

Lottery winners will be announced by Monday, May 6, 2024.

Lottery applications are $1 and successful applicants will automatically be charged a $24 reservation fee.

Reservations are non-refundable, non-transferable, and can only be used for the date issued.

This year’s synchronous firefly viewing at the Elmont Campground will be from Monday, June 3, 2024, through Monday, June 10, 2024.
