HARRIMAN DEDICATES BRIDGE TO CURTIS ANDERSON

On August 15, 2025, the City of Harriman dedicated a bridge to Curtis Anderson, a beloved local figure whose lifelong connection to the community and the bridge itself was celebrated.

As a young boy, Anderson watched his father maintain the bridge, fostering a deep love for Harriman and a commitment to service. His remarkable life includes induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame as a member of the Negro League, having played for the Birmingham Black Barons alongside legends like Hank Aaron and Willie Mays.

Despite these achievements, Andersonโ€™s heart remains tied to Harriman, where his faith, kindness, and integrity have made him a community cornerstone. The bridge dedication honors his lifetime of care, faith, and service, reflecting Harrimanโ€™s gratitude for his enduring contributions.
