HARRIMAN TO SPEND $1 MILLION TO REPLACE POLES AND LIGHTS AT CITY BALL FIELDS

The Harriman City Council met to discuss several agenda items, including a plan to allocate a bit over $1 million to replace all poles and lights at the city’s ball fields. Mayor Wayne Best announced that the city will contract MUSCO Inc. to install modern, energy-efficient lights, addressing ongoing electrical issues that have disrupted sporting events.

Some of the existing lights, in service for over 25 years, are long overdue for replacement. The city will secure a loan to fund the project, with plans to select a lending agency in the coming weeks.

Additionally, the council approved the purchase of 12 pole-mounted wreaths from MOSCA Design for $6,791.40.
