“HE SAID/SHE SAID” PROPERTY DISPUTE ON PIGEON RIDGE ROAD

A resident of Pigeon Ridge Road contacted Cumberland County deputies to say a concrete property marker beside her driveway had been moved and was lying against a tree in the neighbor’s yard. She claimed she’d been having difficulty with the neighbor regarding the property line. The resident said she replaced the marker and requested a record of the incident.

Just three hours later, the elderly owner of the neighboring property contacted deputies to file a harassment complaint. He said his tenant has “been having troubles from the new neighbors” since the beginning of April.

The police states although the property has not been surveyed, “the neighbors have been running strings and setting up concrete markers, basically making their own property lines.”

The owner and tenant have both witnessed the neighbor’s “acting out” and the neighbor has reportedly been making verbal threats and at one point “picked up a large piece of steel and approached the complainant and victim in a threatening manner, acting aggressive and using abusive language.”

According to the incident report, all that is known about the new neighbors is they’re a couple who recently moved into the home from New Jersey.
