A vehicle accident on Highway 127 North in Cumberland County just north of the Woody community late yesterday claimed a life and left two seriously injured. Trooper Marty Brown says in his report a 1995 Lincoln Towncar driven by 37-year-old Evelyn Dyer of Clarkrange crossed over the center line and hit an oncoming 2017 Ford van operated by 57-year-old Norma Cross of Clarkrange head-on. Dyer was extricated from the wreckage and taken by ambulance to Cumberland Medical Center where she passed away in the emergency room. Cross and a 7-year-old were both flown to an area trauma center for treatment.
