A hearing has been scheduled for Friday morning for the man accused of killing a woman and shooting six others at an Antioch church. Emanuel Samson is charged with criminal homicide for the death of Melanie Crow at the Burnette Chapel Church of Christ on Sept. 24.Samson’s motive for the shooting remains unclear. Federal investigators said last week that they discovered a note left behind by the alleged gunman that referenced possible retaliation for the Charleston Church shooting of 2015. Nine people died in that shooting incident which took place in an African-American church.
