A high speed chase involving a Cumberland County deputy and a motorcyclist ended with an arrest Saturday. The officer attempted to pull over 34-year-old Everett Lawrence Grant of Crossville on Vandever Road after he was reportedly clocked going 56 mile per hour in a 45 zone. Grant allegedly sped off reaching speeds of up to 100 miles per hour until he turned onto Lantana Road and stopped at the 6,000 block. Grant was charged with evading arrest and served outstanding warrants from Cumberland and Putnam County.
