HIGH SPEED CHASE ON EAST FIRST STREET IN CROSSVILLE RESULTS IN ACCIDENT AND ONE ARREST

A Crossville woman faces several charges after leading police on a high speed chase last week in the city. According to the police report, officers responded to the area of County Garage Road and Mayberry Street in reference to a female in a gold car stopping in the roadway yelling at people. While in route, an officer saw the vehicle in question passing him in the opposite direction with the driver waiving her hands. The report indicates the driver, 28-year-old Nicole Luann Oneal, proceeded onto Cook Road then on East First Street and sped up at a high rate. While in pursuit, dispatch reportedly was on the phone with Oneal who allegedly told dispatch she liked the pretty lights on the cruiser chasing her and she would not stop. The report states that speeds up to 85 miles per hour was reached on East First Street by Oneal until she hit a vehicle in the area of Dayton Spur Road and East First Street. The Tennessee Highway Patrol, who joined in with the pursuit, charged Oneal with DUI and other offenses. According to the report, Oneal allegedly told officers she had done so much meth that she could not be hurt. She was additionally charged by Crossville police with evading arrest.
