HIGH-SPEED PURSUIT ENDS WITH ARREST OF ROANE COUNTY MAN

BBBTV12 – Late last night, Rockwood police were involved in a high-speed chase that began in Rockwood and continued along Highway 70 toward Midtown, ultimately ending on Ruritan Road near the Harriman city limits. The pursuit concluded without any injuries.
The driver, identified as 63-year-old James Arnold Brown, was taken into custody and is now being held on bonds totaling $124,500. Brown faces numerous charges, including four counts of failure to appear, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, driving while in possession of methamphetamine, driving on a revoked or suspended license, driving under the influence, reckless driving, and evading arrest. Additional charges include driving without seat belts, two counts of evading arrest in a motor vehicle with risk to bystanders, unlawful possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a felony drug offense or violent felony, speeding, and several other traffic violations.
Brown remains in custody at this time, pending further legal proceedings.
