On July 22, 2025, at approximately 1:38 AM, a hit-and-run incident occurred at 2032 Tabor Loop in Crossville. Deputy Breanna Freeman responded to the scene and interviewed the victim, a 21-year-old resident of Crossville who reported that Ty Christian Burton, a 23-year-old male also from Crossville, backed his truck into her vehicle, causing scrape marks and impact damage to the bottom left portion of her rear bumper.

After the collision, Burton made a phone call and was picked up by a red truck, leaving the scene. Deputy Freeman observed the damage, which was consistent with the victim’s account. Deputy Aytes located Burton at his residence on McCampbell Road, where he was taken into custody at 2:12 AM for leaving the scene of an accident.

Burton was transported to Cumberland County intake for booking, and a Titan crash report was completed.

Burton faces a court date on August 18, 2025, with a bond set at $1,000.
