Crossville firefighters responded just before 4 a.m. this morning to 99 Justice Street to a structure blaze.

Crews arrived to see flames coming from several areas of the home.

Crossville Fire Chief Chris South told 3B Media News the dwelling was under renovation and not occupied at the time of the blaze.

South added an electrical short was the possible cause of the fire.

Heavy damage was noted to the structure.

No injuries were reported.

The home was the former residence of meteorologist Steve Norris. Norris passed away back on September 22, 2022. For over 40 years, Steve provided live weather updates on several radio stations including 105.7 The Hog, 93.3 The Ranch, Spirit 101.9, and 94.1 The Vibe.
