HOUSTON ARRESTED AFTER SHOTS ALLEGEDLY FIRED IN CUMBERLAND CO.

Cumberland County deputies responded to a home on Old Highway 28 yesterday to a report of shots fired. Officers encountered 66-year-old Coy Junior Houston who claimed several people broke into his home. A neighbor told deputies he heard four shots from a firearm around 3:45 a.m. He went outside to reportedly see Houston armed with a shotgun and a crossbow. Houston dropped his weapons and the two waited for law enforcement to arrive. Officers checked the Houston home and only found a screen on a door busted out but all other entry points were secured. Houston was charged with reckless endangerment and taken to jail.
