On Friday last week, Lt. James Scott with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office heard from a couple who reported that they answered an ad on Facebook for a house for rent in Cumberland County on Wilson Road.

The husband stated his wife messaged a lady by the name of ‘Charlotte William’ who advised her that she needed to go purchase Apple Cards, which she did. The husband said his wife bought $800 worth of Apple Cards.

Once she purchased the cards, she sent pics of all the cards she had purchased to this ‘Charlotte William’. However, the wife has
tried making contact with ‘Charlotte William’ but has yet to recieve a reply.

No known suspects at this time.
