HYDROPLANING FORD EXPLORER STRIKES GUARDRAIL ON I-40 EASTBOUND AT MM 339
Earlier today, at approximately 7:20 AM, a minor vehicle accident occurred on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 at mile marker 339, prompting a swift response from local authorities in Tennessee.
The incident involved a black 2025 Ford Explorer, driven by 29-year-old Laken Dehart of Tennessee, who was traveling westbound when the vehicle encountered slick conditions, leading to a hydroplaning event where it lost traction and veered off the left shoulder.
The SUV subsequently collided with a nearby guardrail before the driver managed to regain control and direct the vehicle toward an exit ramp, where the mishap was reported. Accompanying Dehart were two juvenile passengers, but fortunately, the event resulted in no reported injuries.
