A two-vehicle collision on Interstate 40 westbound near the Kingston Exit 352 mile marker resulted in temporary lane closures and one hospitalization early Wednesday afternoon.

The crash occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m., drawing a swift response from Kingston Fire Department First Responders. One male involved in the accident was transported to Tennova Hospital in Knoxville’s Turkey Creek area after reporting chest pains. No other injuries were reported from the scene.

The accident reduced westbound traffic to a single lane for about an hour while emergency crews investigated the incident and cleared the vehicles. Normal traffic flow has since been restored.
