I-40 WESTBOUND SEES CONGESTION DUE TO STUBBORN PEDESTRIAN
The right lane and shoulder of Interstate 40 westbound in Putnam County were blocked due to a pedestrian lying in the median and refusing to cooperate with Tennessee Highway Patrol near mile marker 299.

“Interstate 40 Westbound in Putnam – Pedestrian at MILE MARKER 299 reported at 11:24 AM 10/15/2024 (Central Time Zone). Westbound Right Lane (of 2 Lanes) Blocked, Right Shoulder Blocked. THP Reported.
