IDENTITY OF ROANE COUNTIAN INJURED IN HOUSE EXPLOSION RELEASED

Roane County authorities this afternoon released the name of the man injured in a house explosion yesterday at 731 Gallaher Rod. Twenty-four-year-old Steven Jaret Dowker was found on scene and flown by an air medical helicopter to the Vanderbilt Burn Center in Nashville for treatment of injuries. The residence was leveled. Many nearby homes were damaged as a result and debris was found several hundred yards away. The 9th Judicial District Attorney’s Office as well as the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Bomb and Arson are assisting the Kingston Police Department in the case. A cause of the blast is yet to be determined.
