Crossville, TN – On March 2, 2023, at approximately 3:30 p.m. Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputies and Investigators were dispatched to the

Pleasant Hill area on Highway 70 West where a body was found in a ditch.

Sheriff’s Investigators processed the scene and conducted an investigation. The identity of the individual was confirmed to be Timothy Thompson, age 32, of Lewis Road, Pleasant Hill.

According to the Medical Examiner’s Office, there were no signs of trauma and the investigation did not suggest any “foul play”. The exact cause of death will be determined once the medical examiner’s report is complete.

Cumberland County Sheriff’s office states, “Our condolences to the friends and family of Mr. Thompson.”
