IDENTITY RELEASED OF MOTORCYCLIST KILLED IN CRASH IN OAK RIDGE

Oak Ridge authorities released the identity of a man killed in a crash Saturday on South Illinois Avenue.

Officers say a motorcycle operated by 54-year-old Eric M. Barnes of Knoxville was traveling southbound near the Bethel Valley Road overpass when it struck another vehicle.

Barnes died at the scene from injuries sustained.

The investigation of the accident is currently ongoing.
