INCIDENT INVOLING MACHETE LANDS QUINCE IN JAIL

Crossville police responded to a home on Vaughn Street Saturday for an assault. The report states 49-year-old Frank Henry Quince walked up to the resident claiming he recognized him from Memphis. The victim told Quince he did not recognize him. Quince allegedly pulled out a machete from a duffel bag he was carrying and threatened the male. Quince left the scene and was later apprehended at a store on West Avenue and Elmore Road. The weapon was seized, and Quince was charged with aggravated assault.

This is not the first encounter involving a weapon regarding Quince.

In March 2020, Crossville police responded to a home on Pinewood Drive. Quince reportedly pulled a golf club, knife and a firearm on three subjects at a nearby car wash. A search of Quince revealed a two knives and a box cutter. Quince left his other belongings on a porch. The golf club apparently was in plain sight of officers. Quince was arrested on three counts of aggravated assault. Quince was issued a citation by Crossville police the night before for trespassing. He was discovered behind the Thread of Hope thrift store reportedly getting into items left for the thrift store.

Quince was arrested in January 2020 at Woodmere Mall after he supposedly approached a motorist in a vehicle armed with a knife. He was apprehended for assault in that incident.

In February 2020, police responded to Braun Street for an unwanted person. They found Quince and a small pouch reportedly fell from Quince with a baggie containing meth hanging out of it. Quince was arrested for felony possession of a drug.
