INFANT AND TWO ADULTS INJURED IN VEHICLE CRASH ON HIGHWAY 127

The Tennessee Highway Patrol and medics recently responded to a vehicle accident on Highway 127 in Bledsoe County.

The accident report states a 2002 Chevy Silverado driven by 30-year-old Adam J. Ward and a 1992 Chevy C3500 operated by 46-year-old William J. Smith, Jr. were both traveling north.

Troopers say the Silverado struck the C3500 as Smith attempted to turn off the highway onto Howard Beavert Road. The Silverado then struck a concrete guardrail and immediately stopped.

Ward and two passengers in his vehicle, 25-year-old Alisha L. Murphy and an infant sustained injuries in the impact. The baby was in a child seat at the time of the crash.

Officers say Smith was not hurt.

The report states charges are pending against Ward.
