INJURED BALD EAGLE SAVED BY MEMPHIS ZOO VETS
A bald eagle injured earlier this year, has been saved by a Memphis Zoo veterinarian. The animal was brought to the zoo’s onsite hospital back in January after it was believed that the eagle had been injured by a vehicle. Its’ injuries included multiple fractures that punctured through the skin on the right wing. After diagnosis, doctors believed that the best way to treat the bird was with a partial amputation. The eagle is now recuperating and it is believed that it will recover and live a normal life.
