INJURED HIKER IN EASTERN CUMBERLAND COUNTY RESCUED
Cumberland County Rescue Squad was notified of an injured hiker in the Dogwood/Ozone area off of Fall Creek Road around 6 pm on Thursday.
The Rescue Squad and Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded to the area. The hiker was located and then loaded on a side-by-side and brought out of the wooded area.
The hiker was turned over to EMS and the patient was treated for a head injury at 7:30 pm.

Agencies assisting included Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Cumberland County EMA, & Cumberland County EMS. Cumberland County Fire Department and the Crossville City Fire Department were on standby in case further assistance was needed to retrieve the hiker.
