Troopers and medics responded late Wednesday to a three vehicle accident on I-40 at the 356 mile marker in Roane County. A 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 26-year-old Courtney Russell of Bean Station, a 2018 Tesla SUV operated by 65-year-old Michael O’Brien of Brentwood and a 2018 Acura driven by 27-year-old Ryan Hau of Seattle, Washington were all heading in the same direction. The report states traffic slowed for construction and that is when the chain reaction crash happened with the three drivers. O’Brien and two juveniles in the Jeep were hurt.
