INJURIES REPORTED IN PICKUP TRUCK ACCIDENT ON NORTHSIDE DRIVE

Crossville police and medics responded to a vehicle accident on Northside Drive around noon today. Initial reports say a driver in a black Chevy Silverado lost control and collided with another automobile near the intersection with South Drive, went downhill, overturned and came to rest on the road over the Obed River. At least two were transported to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained. Crews worked quickly to contain a gas leak from the vehicle and keep it from going into the river. Traffic was diverted for nearly 40 minutes as crews cleared the scene. A full accident report, including the names of those involved, will be released at a later date by the Crossville Police Department.
