Vehicle accidents within minutes of each other early this afternoon in Cumberland County resulted in injuries.

The first took place on the 600 block of Browntown Road when a vehicle left the road and went down a steep embankment. Medics, deputies and firefighters worked together to get a woman back up the slope to an awaiting ambulance. She was taken to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of injuries.

The second accident took place at the 330 mile marker of I-40. One was believed to be hurt in that crash and taken to the hospital.
