The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to a single vehicle accident yesterday on Highway 127 North in Cumberland County near Ed Houston Road. The report states a 2014 Chevy Camaro driven by 59-year-old Danny Barringer of Crossville was traveling south when the driver took his eyes off the road reaching down for an item. The car left the roadway and struck a highway sign that came out of the ground and hit the windshield. Troopers say Barringer sustained minor injuries in the crash.
