INTERSTATE 40 WRECK SNARLS TRAFFIC WEDNESDAY NIGHT
Interstate 40 Westbound near the Kingston exit was tied up for hours last night as a pick up with a camper shell attached rolled over causing major backups for west bound travelers .Kingston Department and Roane County Sheriff’s Deputies were first on the scene.
One female was transported to Roane Medical Center with unknown injuries. Miraculously, no other vehicles were involved as the debris was scattered all across the westbound lanes, completely shutting down the interstate.
Kingston Fire personnel were able to clear the one lane of the interstate by using a city owned back hoe that was being used on a construction project close to the accident.
